Sedgman Pty Limited, a global industry leader with offices in Australia, Canada, Chile, China, and South Africa, is seeking a skilled HSE Advisor to join their team at the Mount Pleasant Operation in the picturesque Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales.

As an HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, collaborative site environment. Your primary responsibilities will include providing guidance and support to all site employees in effectively implementing fundamental HSE processes, such as Job Safety Observations (JSOs), risk management, fitness for work, manual handling, and more.

You will also be responsible for developing and delivering relevant HSE materials to operational leaders, overseeing HSE Management Plans site-wide for safety compliance, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and joint venture partners to establish, implement, and review HSE requirements regularly, assessing HSE performance to identify critical issues and develop mitigation strategies accordingly, and providing on-site assistance for incident investigations and risk assessments.

To succeed in this role, you will need previous experience in a role involving safety responsibilities, flexibility to work on-site daily and adapt to changing schedules, residence in or near Upper Hunter Valley, NSW, or willingness to relocate, strong problem-solving abilities, and commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
