As an Education Officer, you will be commissioned into the rank of Lieutenant and posted to an Army training establishment. Your role will involve developing educational policies, strategies, and systems, as well as providing technical direction and career management advice for RAAEC personnel. You will also be responsible for producing Army's technology-based-training and distance education, as well as conducting Australian familiarisation and English training for foreign students. Additionally, you will counsel personnel on educational matters and administer study schemes. The RAAEC provides highly trained ESL/EFL specialists with a training development background as Language and training advisers to assist several countries in the region in the provision of English language training. As an Education Officer, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including Headquarters Forces Command - Army, Sydney, Army Learning Production Centre, Staff Cadet training, Royal Military College, Canberra, Defence International Training Centre, Laverton, VIC, and Individual Training Centres, various locations. You will be responsible for developing training, conducting cross-cultural awareness training, and providing training systems support to all Training Command schools. The role requires a strong background in education and training, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
