SAP MM Functional Analyst Contract Opportunity

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland government department to recruit an SAP MM Functional Analyst contract. As an SAP Materials Management (MM) Functional Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the S/4HANA MM module.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Analysis:
    • Analyse business requirements related to procurement, inventory management, and materials planning.
    • Document and communicate requirements to technical teams and stakeholders.
    • Identify and evaluate potential solutions and recommend SAP MM configurations or customisations.
  • SAP MM Implementation:
    • Design and implement SAP MM solutions, including master data setup, configuration, and testing.
    • Lead the development of functional specifications and technical documentation.
    • Support the integration of SAP MM with other SAP modules and external systems.
  • Testing:
    • Develop and execute test cases to validate the functionality of SAP MM solutions and identify defects.
    • Support defect resolution through detailed analysis of the issue.
  • Functional Support:
    • Provide ongoing SAP MM functional support to the program.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP MM processes and configurations.
    • Respond to project team inquiries and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the SAP MM module.
    • Develop and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process optimisation.

You will have:

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC, SAP MM certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an SAP MM Functional Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of SAP MM modules including Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Materials Planning.
  • Sound understanding of integration points with other SAP modules including FI, LO and SD is desirable.
  • Understanding of supply chain including exposure to EWM.
  • Proficiency in SAP reporting tools to analyse issues. Proven ability to identify business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Strong understanding of SAP MM best practices and methodologies.
