Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our Integrated Planning and Analysis team. In this role, you will play a key leadership position in the ongoing development of our planning application, Atlas.

You will work closely with a team of supply chain planners and data analysts to problem solve scenarios and improvements before building and deploying into production. Additionally, you will dive into Fortescue's vast datasets across its supply chain to find insights that unlock system capacity and help deliver on business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop optimisation planning application alongside external development partners.
  • Drawing on a variety of different data sources to conduct analysis across a range of supply chain capacity impact questions.
  • SUPPORTING ANALYSIS AND ASSUMPTIONS REVIEW ON KEY DATA SETS AS PART OF REGULAR PLANNING PROCESSES IN THE BUSINESS.
  • Applying classical and modern statistical analysis techniques to provide insights on supply chain performance.
  • Drive project outcomes and timelines whether working as an individual contributor or in larger team settings.
  • Communicate insights and analysis outcomes of results to operations stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Previous experience in supply chain data analysis.
  • Experience in Python programming, specifically using Pyomo, is highly regarded.
  • Understanding of mixed-integer programming and model relaxation strategies.
  • Strong SQL skills and comfortable working with large datasets such as Snowflake and data historian systems.
