Food and Beverage Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure smooth and efficient daily floor operations of the restaurant and bar
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's food and beverage features to promote to clients
  • Liaise with the kitchen during service periods to ensure quality service and presentation
  • Supervise, train and assist Food & Beverage Attendants

Requirements:
  • 12+ months supervisory experience gained in a similar role
  • 3 years experience working within a restaurant or hotel environment
  • A current RSA certificate
  • Solid understanding of alcohol (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills and an unwavering positive attitude
  • A high level of self-motivation and confidence
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar (preferred but not essential)
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
