Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Hays Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join a leading manufacturing company in the Hobart region. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production and despatch processes, while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet targets and deadlines
- Manage a team of production staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality products and efficient processes
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with company standards
- Monitor and control labour costs, productivity, and inventory levels
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Coordinate with the despatch team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
- Maintain accurate records and reports to track production performance and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a focus on team management and process improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Good computer skills and experience with ERP systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
