About the role:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient software architectures. Having WDP Mesh knowledge will be an added advantage.

Key responsibilities:

  • Solution Design:
    • Lead the design of custom applications that meet business needs, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
    • Define the architecture and overall structure of web applications using React for front-end, Node.js, and Java APIs for back-end services.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose effective technical solutions.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide technical guidance to the development team, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
    • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality and maintainability.
  • Project Management & Collaboration:
    • Work closely with project managers to estimate effort, define timelines, and manage deliverables for the development lifecycle.
    • Communicate technical decisions and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Performance Optimization:
    • Monitor, analyse, and optimize the performance of the applications, ensuring they meet established performance benchmarks.
    • Implement caching, load balancing, and other strategies to enhance the user experience and server efficiency.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Ensure all developed applications meet industry standards for security and compliance.
    • Implement authentication, authorization, and other security measures as required.

What's on offer?

This contract is available for an initial 6-month term with an extension of 3 x 6 months. Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
