About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at InLife Independent Living. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with physical disabilities, including transfers and the use of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to clients with physical disabilities, including transfers and the use of equipment
  • Work collaboratively with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals
  • Support clients to complete regular physiotherapy programs
  • Provide transportation for clients in your own vehicle, with reimbursement for costs
  • Work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, with some short shifts and sleepovers
Requirements
  • Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, and a willingness to learn
  • Experience supporting people with physical disabilities, including transfers and the use of equipment
  • Must be a non-smoker
  • Must like cats and dogs
  • Have great patience and be willing to put in the time and energy to build rapport with clients
  • Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives
  • Commitment to working with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals
  • Full driver's license and willingness to provide transportation for clients
