Social Work Opportunity for Children with Disabilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct statutory assessments under relevant legislation, ensuring comprehensive understanding of child welfare and protection.
  • Develop, review, and implement individualized plans tailored to each child's specific needs.
  • Collaborate closely with families to promote independence and enhance life outcomes.
  • Build effective relationships with schools, healthcare professionals, and other support services to coordinate integrated care.
  • Pursue direct work with children and young people, utilizing suitable communication strategies to foster meaningful connections.
  • Prepare reports for Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Reviews, and legal proceedings, demonstrating expertise in case management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records using designated software systems.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, supervision, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified Social Worker (registered with relevant governing bodies).
  • Experience working with children who have disabilities or complex needs.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interagency collaboration skills.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and full UK driving license.
