Automobile Technician

At Westside Auto Panels in Truganina, VIC, we are seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic to join our team. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Test, repair, and maintain motor vehicle engines and other mechanical parts.
• Detect and diagnose faults in motor vehicle parts and engines using tools and manual checks.
• Check motor vehicle parts for road worthiness and replacement.
• Repair and replace worn-out parts in motor vehicles.
• Dismantle and reassemble engine assemblies, transmissions, and mechanical components during motor vehicle repairs.
• Perform maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups.
• Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair or for proper functioning.
• Diagnose and test parts of motor vehicles using computers and manual checks.
• Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness certificates or issue detailed statements for the work required to deem vehicles appropriate for roadworthiness.

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of experience in the same role.
• AQF Certificate III in a relevant field with 2 years' experience or Certificate IV.
• Proper full working rights in Australia.

Salary

$73000 - $75000 + Superannuation
