Job Overview

A highly skilled and experienced Java professional is sought after to join our organization in a key role.

Location: Sydney, Australia

Experience: 7+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services to enhance system capabilities.
  • Develop and deploy microservices using Spring Boot and other relevant tools to improve system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that meet business requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong core Java programming skills with expertise in Java 8 or above.
  • Experience in building RESTful APIs with a deep understanding of API design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Cloud to develop and deploy microservices.
  • Expertise in Microservices architecture and deployment with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL to design and implement database solutions.
  • Knowledge of version control tools like Git and Bitbucket to manage code repositories and track changes.
