Practice Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our dental practice team in a positive environment for both staff and patients.

  • The successful candidate will have previous leadership experience, putting their team first.
  • A background in business and people management is essential, with strong organisational skills and administrative capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coaching, leading & developing a high performing practice team.
  • Maintaining overall financial performance of the practice.
  • Ensuring sterilisation, infection control standards and stock control.
  • Patient management; greeting and welcoming patients, answering phone enquiries, making & confirming appointments; checking, processing & managing customer accounts.
  • General administration including processing payments using EFTPOS & HiCaps.
  • Proactively marketing the practice to drive patient numbers.
  • Effectively managing the recruitment & selection for all practice staff.
Requirements:
  • Previous leadership experience is a must.
  • Prior business and people management experience essential.
  • Strong organisational skills, administrative and time management.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, customer service skills and strong business acumen.
  • Able to face into difficult conversations & deal promptly with issues when they arise.
  • Comfortable conversing with people from all walks of life, including dentists, patients, and your practice team.
