Job Summary

The Plant Mechanic will assist in the rebuilding and repair of Large Engines. This role involves disassembly, inspection, and assembling of Engine components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the rebuilding and repair of Large Engines
  • Disassemble, inspect, and assemble Engine components
  • Work under the supervision of the Workshop Supervisor
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve workshop goals

Requirements

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Light Vehicle Mechanics, Heavy Duty Mechanics, Bus and Truck Mechanics)
  • Dogging and Forklift tickets are advantageous or willing to obtain
  • Caterpillar Dealership experience is desirable or Significant Engine Rebuild experience
  • Experience in component rebuilding is highly advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
