Position Overview

Reporting to the Regional Accounting Manager, this position will immerse you in the operations of our finance team, both locally and internationally, offering you the chance to make a significant impact. You will not merely be drafting reports that are partially completed – you will be empowered to implement these changes fully.

The finance team at WiseTech is dedicated to balancing effective financial oversight with the flexibility required for business expansion. This role is a vital component of that objective.

You are a highly organized and systematic thinker, adept at prioritizing and managing various deliverables. Furthermore, you excel in identifying, establishing, and nurturing relationships with individuals on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting Ownership: Oversee financial reporting duties for relevant ledgers within the EMEA region. Month-End Closing: Ensure a prompt and precise month-end closing process. Journal Entry Management: Calculate and process monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets. Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet. Monthly Results Analysis: Analyze and provide insightful commentary on monthly financial results. Group Audit Assistance: Support the group audit process. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Implement continuous improvement techniques and identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

Your Qualifications

Professional Credentials: A professional accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant, CPA, or similar) is highly desirable. Relevant Industry Experience: Previous experience in an IT or software organization is highly desirable. ERP System Proficiency: Strong knowledge of large ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). Technical Accounting Expertise: Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS and AASB. Project and Time Management Skills: Excellent project and time management abilities to deliver results within deadlines.
