About the Role

Ventia is seeking experienced Telecommunications Riggers to join our Wireless Network team in a permanent, full-time opportunity. This role requires individuals to travel, complete regular overtime, and be away from home for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Upgrade and modify existing wireless telecommunication sites, including Mobile, Fixed Wireless, and Broadcast.
  • Install and test hybrid cables, PIM test, sweep test, distance to fault, terminate feeders, bird-proofing, and waterproofing connectors.
  • Read and interpret construction and As-built drawings, completing works to specification and standards.
  • Install and maintain antenna and feeder cables on monopoles and towers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Telecommunication Rigger.
  • Experience with NBN wireless, Optus, TPG (desirable).
  • Current intermediate or advanced rigging ticket.
  • Ability to work with EWP and cranes.
  • Working at heights and Perform Tower Rescue certified, with the ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly.
  • RadHaz / EME Awareness.
