Teaching Position for Instrumental Music Tutor

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic instrumental music tutor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to contribute to the musical development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach trumpet lessons to students aged Year 5 to Year 11, conducting 10 x 40-minute lessons per week.
  • Organize lesson schedules and communicate with parents and students through the school's teaching and learning platform.
  • Develop young musicians through a broad approach to music encompassing all styles.
  • Familiarity with various teaching and learning strategies to meet students' needs.
  • Establish and develop positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Ability to actively support the College's Christian ethos.
  • Possess appropriate tertiary qualifications and show a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Passion and energy for developing young musicians.
  • Strong organizational skills, including punctuality.
  • Good computer literacy skills.

Selection Criteria:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people and work within a team.
  • High-level interpersonal skills to establish and develop positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Successful applicants must satisfy child protection screening and adhere to our child protection policies and staff code of conduct.
