Emergency Medicine Specialist

The Emergency Department at our campus is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires a high level of expertise and adaptability. As an experienced Senior Registrar/Registrar, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care to our patients.
This position presents a unique opportunity to rotate through various departments, including ICU, anaesthetics, and specialty areas. You will have the chance to develop your skills in a collaborative environment and contribute to fostering a culture that encourages professional growth and development.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team. You should also be able to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
Our department provides valuable support for gaining the Diploma and/or Certificate in Emergency Medicine, with accreditation from the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM). This redesigned position offers a clear pathway into Emergency training or the GP training program for our region.
Key Requirements:
- Current registration as a medical practitioner in Australia;
- Postgraduate qualification in emergency medicine or equivalent;
- At least 2 years' experience in emergency medicine;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team;
- Capacity to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
