**Become a Surgical Specialist in Oesophagogastric Care**
This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your expertise in oesophagogastric surgery and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care. As the 2026 SALHN Oesophagogastric Fellow, you will be accountable to the Director of the Division of Surgery and Perioperative Medicine.
Key aspects of this role include:
- Supervising junior medical officers and students on a day-to-day basis, ensuring they have access to guidance and advice when needed.
- Attending unit meetings to stay informed about ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Participating in weekly consultant Post-Take Ward Rounds to discuss patient care and outcomes.
In addition, you will have opportunities to engage with the wider healthcare community through regular presentations at the General Surgery Journal Club.
**Eligibility Criteria:**
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a medical practitioner.
- Completion of FRACS or equivalent.
- Experience in providing clinical services at a level commensurate with final year training in oesophagogastric surgery.
