This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Driftwood Restaurant Café & Bar, where you will be part of a team serving great food in a relaxed coastal setting.

As a Kitchen Hand, your primary responsibilities will include supporting food preparation and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, preparing meals, cleaning equipment, and following health and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be physically capable, and confident using kitchen equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food storage and preparation, including sorting deliveries, chopping produce, and preparing sauces.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards and follow safe food handling practices.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and work areas.
  • Support a respectful team-oriented environment and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Follow WHS procedures, report hazards, and safely handle approved cleaning chemicals with PPE.
About the Role:
  • Knowledge of HACCP and accredited Food Safety Training.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive team player with strong communication skills.
  • Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Confident using kitchen equipment, cleaning tools, and PPE.
  • Committed to safe food handling and maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen environment.
