Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Specialist to join our team. As a Disability Support Specialist, you will work closely with our clients to develop and implement individualised care plans, providing support and assistance with daily living activities, therapeutic recreational activities, and other needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and support to clients, ensuring their dignity and respect are maintained at all times.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans, working closely with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support and assistance with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Assist clients with therapeutic recreational activities, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Certificate in Aged, AIN, Disability, or Community.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • National Police Check Certificate.
  • Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
  • NDIS Worker Reference Check Number.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Compassion and empathy when working with clients and their families.
