We are seeking an experienced Tailings Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety planning, processes, and procedures, as well as experience with geotechnical investigations at mine sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating geotechnical field investigation programs, working closely with Engineers-of-Record (EoR) on long-term operational projects, and developing geotechnical assessments and analysis capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate geotechnical field investigation programs
  • Work closely with Engineers-of-Record (EoR) on long-term operational projects
  • Develop geotechnical assessments and analysis capabilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia
  • 1-5+ years of consulting experience operating within a geotechnical practice group
  • Experience with using geotechnical logging software
  • Competent in the use of GIS or CAD package/s
  • Working knowledge of geotechnical investigation standards and practices
  • Past experience with geotechnical investigations at mine sites
