Job Title: Construction Project Coordinator

BESIX Watpac is seeking a skilled Construction Project Coordinator to join our team in Brisbane or Townsville. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing construction scheduling and programming.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing comprehensive programmes and target programmes.
  • Interpreting and communicating essential sequences of activities.
  • Monitoring project progress and assisting in the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Identifying and communicating issues and opportunities to the project teams.
  • Assisting the project team in the use of planning and programming systems.
  • Assisting the project teams with the preparation, recording, and presentation of extension of time claims.
  • Reviewing and updating project programmes during project execution.
  • Recording progress on productivity rates, resource usage, project performance, contingencies, and construction methods.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning on building or infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced skills in project planning systems.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate, influence, and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a strong internal customer focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
