Senior Social Care Manager

A highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker is required to manage a child protection team in Knowsley. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of social workers who respond to referrals, hold child in need and child protection cases, as well as placements with parents.
The responsibilities of this role include managing a caseload, conducting home visits, working in court, and liaising with other professionals. The ideal candidate will have a DipSW or equivalent qualification, be registered with the HCPC, hold a current DBS, and be a car driver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a child protection team, consisting of social workers who respond to referrals from the mash, hold child in need and child protection cases as well as placements with parents.
- Conduct home visits and engage with service users in a professional manner.
- Work closely with other professionals, such as police officers, health visitors, and educationalists, to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Liaise with colleagues and management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- DipSW or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with the HCPC.
- Current DBS.
- Car driver.
