About Us

Yitpi Yartapuultiku is an Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Port Adelaide, where shared understanding between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cultures is reached.

The Venue Officer will play their part in supporting the centre to be a place for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to learn, experience and be immersed in Aboriginal culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day operational support of the centre, with a focus on venue hire and administration.
  • SUPPORT THE DELIVERY OF BEST PRACTICE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCES ACROSS THE CULTURAL CENTRE.
  • Liaise with businesses, organisations, groups, artists and individuals hiring the venue spaces.
  • Set up multipurpose spaces according to the needs of the hirer, including furniture, equipment and technical configurations.
  • Monitor bookings for and promote use of a range of multipurpose spaces.
Requirements
  • Connection to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
  • Knowledge of venue management.
  • Experience in venue support, hospitality or conference centres.
  • Experience in use of bookings software and audio-visual equipment.
