Home Collector Job Description

The Home Collector will collect blood specimens from patients in their homes, providing excellent care and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect blood specimens from patients at their residences, delivering exceptional patient care and support.
  • Analyze and process specimens for laboratory testing across multiple departments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Enter data accurately into our system and maintain thorough records of laboratory procedures.
  • Support the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate III in Pathology Collection or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Science/Biomedical Science or equivalent is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in pathology collection is required.
  • A valid driver's license and own vehicle (preferred) enable efficient travel between patient locations.
