Key Highlights
AECOM is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer to lead a wide variety of transport and general civil planning and design projects in the Rockhampton region. As part of a high-performing regional team, you will collaborate with industry-renowned peers nationally across our organisation to create whole-of-business success.

Our ideal candidate has significant experience in Transport Infrastructure, preferably at Principal to Associate Director level. They should have a strong track record of delivering key transport design services on various transport infrastructure projects, as well as excellent leadership skills to manage, train, and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Lead general civil work including road design and urban precinct planning projects for government and private sector clients.
  • Act as Project Manager/Technical Lead on projects, participating in business development practices, proposal writing, and bidding for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers across Australia to deliver key transport design services on transport infrastructure projects.
  • Participate in Team Leader responsibilities, managing, training, and mentoring junior team members to aid their professional development, financial reporting on projects.
  • Contribute to business and strategic planning activities for the team, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The following qualifications and experience are highly desirable:

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with RPEQ and ideally 12+ years' experience for a consultancy, local council or state government department.
  • A future leader with an interest in succession and long-term growth within a global organisation.
  • Extensive design and/or project management experience with state government or local council civil infrastructure and transport projects.
  • Proven knowledge of Australian Standards and a track record of applying technical knowledge when delivering projects.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively at both internal and external levels, developing new client relationships and maintaining existing networks within the business.
