Senior Electrical Engineer Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to innovative projects within the maritime sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a degree-qualified electrical or marine systems engineer with strong knowledge and experience in marine electrical power generation and distribution systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and decision authorities and explain complex positions and issues.

In this role, you will work closely with our team to design and specify marine electrical systems, assess and advise on key electrical system technical risks, support the review of technical deliverables from the project's Head Contractor, and review calculations applying electrical engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and criteria for naval ship designs.

To be successful in this position, you will require a degree in electrical or marine systems engineering and significant experience in marine electrical power generation and distribution systems.

You will also need strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and decision authorities and explain complex positions and issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and advise on key electrical system technical risks
  • Support the review of technical deliverables from the project's Head Contractor
  • Review calculations applying electrical engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and criteria for naval ship designs
