**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) at James Cook University. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the university's academic and research endeavors, working closely with the Vice-Chancellor and other senior leaders to drive strategic initiatives and achieve the university's goals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Lead the development and implementation of the university's academic and research strategies
• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the university's faculties and research centers
• Collaborate with the Vice-Chancellor and other senior leaders to drive university-wide initiatives and projects
• Develop and manage budgets and resources to support academic and research programs
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and other universities

**Requirements:**

• PhD in a relevant field
• Proven track record of academic and research leadership
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
