Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Master Metal Fabricator to join our team at the RCR Mining Technologies workshop in Bunbury. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of boilermaking techniques and excellent welding and fabrication skills.

About the Role

This is a casual opportunity for a skilled metal fabricator to work with a progressive team, delivering exceptional workmanship and contributing to the success of the workshop. Key responsibilities include:

  • Fabrication and welding of structural steel, mechanical equipment, and piping packages in accordance with Australian Standards and client specifications.
  • Preparing all steel work for welding to best practices.
  • Operating and maintaining workshop equipment within your skill set.
  • Reviewing drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Maintaining inventory of completed products.
  • Ensuring that all machines and equipment are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Performing additional tasks as directed, which are within your skill, qualification, and competence level.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Dogging/Rigging (preferred but not essential).
  • Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential).
  • Fitness to handle manual labour and provide a clear drug and alcohol screening.
  • A solid commitment to safety and a genuine reliable nature.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000 AUD, depending on experience.
