As the Senior Engineering Manager of the UI Infrastructure team, you will lead a team of experts dedicated to maintaining and improving this critical platform, ensuring it continues to deliver exceptional performance and reliability at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Manage team workload, balancing business-as-usual (BAU) activities and development productivity (DevProd) efforts.
  • Oversee the operation and continuous improvement of the team's key services.
  • Ensure platform performance, reliability, and security.
  • Monitor and analyze platform performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with product teams to integrate and optimize frontend infrastructure, understanding their needs and ensure platform support.
  • Lead the team in responding to incidents, providing expert advice and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Develop and implement processes to reduce the frequency and impact of incidents.
  • Define the roadmap for platform capabilities, and communicating these capabilities and improvements to stakeholders.
  • Experience running high reliability, large-scale services - 10 billion requests per month at 99.99% reliability
  • Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure and containerization technologies
  • Experience working with TypeScript and modern web development frameworks
