Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate practitioner to join our team as a Residential Child and Youth Services Practitioner. In this role, you will provide direct support to vulnerable young people, promoting their well-being and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Building strong relationships with young people, acting as a trusted mentor and role model.
- Navigating complex personal challenges, providing both emotional and professional support in collaboration with the team.
- Helping engage in post-crisis support functions to better support young people with complex needs and behaviors.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent recognized qualifications.
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Full Australian Driver's License.
- Demonstrated ability to openly engage and build trust with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Implement strategies and tactics to mentor and teach our youth necessary life skills.
- Maintain a level of grit and resilience to overcome challenging situations.
