Job Title: Executive Director

Join the State Government Of Victoria, Australia, as we seek a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our Early Childhood Strategy Division.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic leader to drive policy reforms and work collaboratively across government and with stakeholders to establish a coherent and strategic approach to reform design, priority, and sequencing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead policy reform teams to develop and implement strategic policy reforms in early childhood education and care.
  • Work collaboratively with government agencies, stakeholders, and partners to establish a comprehensive and integrated system for early childhood education and care.
  • Oversee the operational policy development, service program design, and commissioning to ensure a child and family-centred outcomes-focused integrated system.
  • Regulate early childhood education and care services and implement relevant legislative reforms.
  • Lead the implementation of the Early Childhood Reform Plan and Best Start, Best Life reforms, including the transition to Pre-Prep, expansion of the Three-Year-Old Kindergarten program, and Free Kinder.
  • Implement the Victorian Child Information Sharing Reforms to improve the wellbeing and safety of children.
