Workshop Leadership Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to take on a leadership role in a dynamic workshop environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop, leading a team of skilled tradespeople and apprentices, and allocating work accordingly to meet project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of tradespeople and apprentices, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Promote safety behaviors and maintain accurate reporting processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team as needed to minimize delays and enhance decision-making.
  • Implement effective work order management systems to meet productivity targets and quality standards.
  • Nurture positive relationships with external vendors.
  • Oversee roster management and approve timesheets.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to optimize processes, drive efficiency, and enhance business operations.
Requirements:
  • Experience in mobile plant maintenance in an agricultural, civil, or mining setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Advanced organizational skills, enabling prioritization of fluctuating workloads and efficient delegation.
  • Ability to manage pressure from deadlines and conflicting priorities.
  • Effective management of internal and external stakeholder needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Able to work effectively within a team and individually, fostering positive working relationships.
