Job Overview:
Tyson Foods Australia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter and Turner to join their team at their Coominya plant. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  2. Conduct inspections and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  3. Collaborate with production supervisors and machine operators to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  4. Develop and maintain a high level of mechanical expertise, including welding and fabrication skills.
  5. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet production demands.
  6. Comply with all work health and safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
About You:
  • Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter and Turner with a strong background in mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including day shift, afternoon shift, weekends, and call-outs.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or food processing industry is an advantage, but not essential.
