About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team at the RSPCA Qld Toowoomba Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary clinic and surgery team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to a diverse range of animal patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional veterinary care, including medical and surgical procedures, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure a high standard of animal welfare and excellent customer service.
  • Participate in approved research projects and contribute to the development of our veterinary services.
  • Attend regular team meetings and contribute to the growth and development of our team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree (or Australian recognised equivalent).
  • At least 5 years of experience in surgical, emergency, and critical care, with a strong focus on companion animals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent our organisation in a professional capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the growth and development of our team.
  • Genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to upholding the values of the RSPCA Qld.
