Menzies School of Health Research is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Trials Manager to lead and oversee the management of our clinical trials and research studies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee research activities, including participant recruitment, clinical data and biological sample collection, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure the successful completion of clinical trials and research studies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Manage budgets, financial reports, and procurement processes to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, to ensure cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Postgraduate qualification or pursuing one with relevant experience in either a hospital or community-based health service.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary research team, including staff supervision, resource planning, recruitment, mentoring, and performance management.
- Strong skills in budget forecasting, expenditure monitoring, financial reporting, and procurement processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with Aboriginal and diverse cultural communities, negotiating with stakeholders, and producing high-quality reports.
- Demonstrates initiative, effective problem-solving, and the ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Base Salary $110,478 - $120,319 per annum, pro-rata (Total remuneration package including superannuation $136,089 - $147,308 per annum, pro-rata).
- Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum and $2,650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
