Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Group Training & Apprentice Manager to lead and elevate our training division.

  • Coach and mentor frontline leaders and supervisors.
  • Oversee and improve our nationally recognised apprenticeship program.
  • Evaluate skills capability, ensure compliance, and develop a long-term workforce strategy.
  • Drive a culture of leadership excellence and hands-on craftsmanship.

This is a high-impact role with significant influence across the business, supported by executive leadership and backed by substantial resources.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future workforce in a growing company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a large-scale, multi-discipline apprenticeship program.
  • Develop and implement a structured apprentice progression framework.
  • Coach and train supervisors and managers to be effective leaders and mentors.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and design targeted upskilling programs.
  • Coordinate government-funded training initiatives and ensure compliance.
  • Engage with schools, TAFEs, and industry to recruit and promote talent.
  • Align workforce capability with the business strategy using skills matrix planning.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Formal qualifications in Leadership, Training & Assessment, or Human Resources.
  • Industry experience in engineering, mechanical trades, or industrial operations.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead large workforce development programs.
  • A strong background in coaching supervisors and operational leaders.
  • Ability to map skills needs and design capability-building solutions.
  • A confident, collaborative leadership style with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
