Key Leadership Role:

Job Summary

Seeking an accomplished leader to oversee the Information Services Department, providing cohesive information, communication, and technology functions. The ideal candidate will plan, lead, and manage the department, ensuring seamless implementation of the ICT Strategic Plan and contributing to Operational Plans.

  • Reporting to senior management, exercising managerial responsibility for the IS Department;
  • Ensuring Council's IS services and infrastructure align with operational and strategic plans;
  • Advising on future ICT requirements and determining priorities for development and maintenance;

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, or Management with significant experience in both areas;
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with proven management experience in a multi-disciplined environment;
  • Proven ability to manage budgets effectively;
  • Extensive experience in information technology management, particularly in implementing financial systems and procedures;
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear advice;
Key Responsibilities
  • Providing effective liaison between IS and all levels of management and employees within the Council;
  • Responsible for network security and implementing disaster recovery measures as identified in Council's Disaster Recovery Plan;
