We are seeking an environmental and regulatory technical assistant to join our team in a dynamic environment. The main purpose of this position is to maintain environmental monitoring equipment and provide support to engineers with routine monitoring and data collection tasks.
- Inspection, basic maintenance, and testing of multimedia (air, water, and solid) portable environmental monitoring equipment used in various industries.
- Maintaining inventory of spares for this equipment, record keeping of all related items managed by the environmental team. Providing environmental and regulatory technical support.
- Assist Senior Engineers in their activities for routine environmental monitoring and environmental data collection.
- Complete any other environment-related activities assigned by the Senior Engineer.
- Experience with environmental or regulatory compliance field, preferably related to construction or extractive industries, projects, or other international construction with environmental, regulatory, socioeconomic, and health aspects.
- Degree in Environmental or Natural Sciences, Natural Resource Management, or related technical/science disciplines; preferred but not mandatory.
- Understanding of industry project construction principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of Environmental, Regulatory, Safety, Health processes, and Government Affairs/Regulatory Compliance tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
