Heavy Diesel Mechanic Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team on a permanent basis at our site in Cataby, WA. This role involves performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on our onsite mobile equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, utilising them to ensure all necessary parts and tools are available for the job. They will also be responsible for completing scheduled repairs and maintenance of mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner, using correct manual handling techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure required parts & tools are available to undertake work on site
  • Complete scheduled repairs and maintenance of mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner using correct manual handling techniques
  • Perform diagnostics, problem solving, and fault finding accurately and in a timely manner
  • Identify, interpret and repair for reuse of any parts and accessories
  • Effectively communicate with other team members and clients on site to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ Years Experience in a similar role as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in a related field
  • Current Automotive Air Condition Repair Licence
  • Strong commitment to the health, safety and well-being of all employees
  • Experience in repairing and maintaining machinery such as CAT, Liebherr, Hitachi, Komatsu and John Deere mining equipment
  • Current experience in a mining or civil engineering environment working on large scale equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed plans and diagrams
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence
  • Willingsness to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug/Alcohol Screen
