Job Opportunity: Fund Portfolio Manager

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the strategic and operational activities of a fund portfolio, ensuring optimal financial, environmental, social, and governance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Portfolio Oversight: Monitor and manage the performance of the fund portfolio, making informed decisions to optimize returns and minimize risks.
  2. Investment Strategy: Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with the fund's objectives, taking into account market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead a global cross-functional team to meet the objectives of the fund and ensure high levels of well-being, morale, motivation, and performance.
  4. Reporting: Manage the integration of company reporting to meet information requirements (financial, operational, environmental, social, governance).
  5. Advocacy: Contribute to global advocacy of the brand and investment strategy, influencing key stakeholders in pursuit of corporate objectives and those of its investments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Experience in fund portfolio management and real asset management;
  2. A detailed understanding of what economic, social, environmental, and governance factors deliver value from the investments in the portfolio;
  3. Strong experience in the strategic management of corporate plantation forestry operations, timber processing, and associated financial modeling;
  4. Strong commercial skills including contract management, negotiations, and financial analysis;
  5. Excellent stakeholder management skills including strong communication across a broad range of stakeholders;
  6. Experience in transaction identification, institutional investment frameworks, and asset acquisition legal documentation and due diligence;
  7. Experience with tropical forestry operations and relevant tertiary qualifications are beneficial;
  8. Significant experience in managing operational performance and compliance to legal and third-party standards.
