Key Responsibilities- Design and develop robust data pipelines and processes in Databricks to make critical business data available to other teams.
- Manage and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Ingest data into our modern data platform, assemble large, complex datasets, and provide frameworks and services for operating on that data.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, such as automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Extensive experience as a Data Engineer.
- Understanding of data warehousing principles, including data structures, database design, modeling, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
- Experience working with cloud-based, modern data platforms and Open Source Big Data tools.
- Exposure to our current tech stack is desirable (Databricks, AWS, DBT with extensive experience with Python, Pyspark, Terraform, SQL).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team or independently.
- Strong ability to knowledge-share with the team.
