  • Set clear learning objectives and assess learner progress.
  • Support learner wellbeing and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Provide academic guidance and address individual learner needs.
  • Maintain strong industry and stakeholder relationships.
  • Champion innovation and real-world teaching methods.
  • Ensure training is delivered to the highest Health & Safety standards.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be Qualified / registered Plumbing, Gasfitting, and/or Drainlayer.
  • Hold NZ Certificate in Adult & Tertiary Teaching (Level 5).
  • Have Unit standards 4098.
  • Have tutoring experience or strong understanding of apprenticeships.
  • Exhibit Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Confidence using teaching technologies and delivering constructive feedback.
  • Display a collaborative approach and passion for helping learners succeed.
