About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring direct materials for production.

  • Develop and maintain a material requirement plan that ensures the supply of direct materials for production.
  • Purchase direct materials as required for production.
  • Finalise stock take results on a weekly basis and input information into the Access database to determine product ordering requirements.
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Monitor future purchase order plans, expediting and de-expediting orders with suppliers where appropriate.
  • Match delivery dockets to purchase orders and communicate any shortages or excesses with suppliers.
  • Liaise with the planning manager to understand if production schedules have changed so that orders can be adjusted to meet revised production schedules.
