Job Title: Principal Civil Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Civil Designer to join our team at Titan Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the design of civil infrastructure projects from concept to completion.

About the Role:

  • Lead the civil design process for a wide range of infrastructure projects, including roads, subdivisions, drainage, and water infrastructure.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed design documentation, plans, and drawings using software such as 12D and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are integrated and aligned with project goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers and drafters, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of designs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

About You:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil design, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in 12D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of Australian design standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement in civil design practices.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role is highly desirable.
