Job Description

The Cloud Service Manager role is a leadership position that requires collaboration with the Systems and Platform team to support and deploy Azure based IT systems. The department is upgrading its three core IT systems, which will be replaced by modular solutions utilizing existing services in the Azure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Engineers as part of the Systems and Platforms team.
  • Undertake complex and sensitive work under broad direction, utilizing expertise across various activities relating to software application design.
  • In partnership with clients and stakeholders, apply strategic and systems expertise to enhance and improve existing software, including designing, developing, implementing, and testing software systems in line with business requirements and software development standards.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues with the operation of an application, ensuring deadlines are consistently met and high-quality technical documentation is provided.
  • Be responsible for project progress reporting and ensure compliance with governance processes.
  • Manage a team to ensure high-quality outputs, building team capability to maintain expertise and encouraging career development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing enterprise IT solutions consuming Azure services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Serverless Compute, Azure Functions, Web Apps, Storage, Integration, Service Bus, Event Hub, Identity, API Management, and Azure DevOps.
  • Demonstrated experience in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using ARM and/or Bicep templates.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and migrating solution infrastructure to the Azure platform.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and processes in the context of infrastructure management.
