Key Responsibilities

As a skilled butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting prime cut meats, utilizing your people skills, knowledge, and providing an exceptional experience to our customers.

Key Skills
  • Competent in slicing and preparing products according to Woolworths specifications
  • Consistent execution of merchandising standards, planograms, and layouts
  • Effective communication skills to enable you to communicate clearly with our customers and team
  • Share and provide knowledge and recommendations on cooking tips, storage, and handling of products
  • Ability to coach and mentor our upcoming talent
  • Role model how to operate in a safe, clean environment, including trade floor, cabinets, prep area, and back of house
  • Follow company specification sheets
  • Ability to use or learn how to use computer applications and equipment
Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you will need evidence of:

  • Australian Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher or equivalent)
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship within Australia
  • Current industry experience years preferred
