Data Engineering Specialist

As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining reports using Microsoft Power BI Desktop Client. Your duties will include designing, developing, and deploying data visualizations to support business decision-making.
Additionally, you will work with Microsoft Visual Studio using RDS to develop tabular models (SSAS Projects), use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to view database objects, and utilize GIT tools to sync content from local drives to platform Azure DevOps Repositories.
Your role will also involve providing information and requesting new DevOps release pipeline creation, folder and content-related security setup, including Row-Level Security (RLS) setup post-deployment, as well as moving/deleting content on Power BI portals. You will be expected to parameterize data source connections for SQL Direct query.
To succeed in this position, you must possess a strong understanding of data engineering principles and experience working with cloud-based data warehouse solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and Azure. Familiarity with data ingestion tools such as SSIS & ADF is also essential. Moreover, you should have a solid grasp of cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP), data pipeline, and workflow management tools. Your proficiency in project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills will enable you to guide and oversee the selection and application of data engineering methodologies, tools, and practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Main Responsibilities:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
Advanced skills in Power BI.
Advanced skills in DAX.
Advanced skills in SQL and experience with relational databases and database design.
Experience with cloud Data Warehouse solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure, etc.
Familiarity with data ingestion tools such as SSIS & ADF.
Working knowledge of Cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency in data pipeline and workflow management tools.
