Work Location: Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 8D6R7N7R – FIFO ex Perth (Flying day: Wednesday)

As a key member of our emergency services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and contractors on site. This includes responding to emergency incidents, conducting regular equipment inspections, and maintaining a state of operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with site policies and procedures
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in site emergency drills to ensure preparedness and response
  • Respond to onsite emergencies and maintain a state of operational readiness
  • Provide medical services and ensure medical facilities are maintained in an operationally ready status
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness to perform the job role

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue or Certificate III in Public Safety (Fire Fighting and Emergency Operations)
  • Cert IV in Health Care as a minimum (Diploma or Degree would be advantageous)
  • Including as a minimum: Rope Rescue, Road Crash Rescue, Firefighting, Confined Space Rescue, Breathing Apparatus (Open Circuit) and Hazmat
  • Certificate IV in WHS and/or Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Previous experience in emergency response and incident control/incident management
  • Microsoft office applications skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
