Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical and emotional needs.
  • Staff Supervision: Leading a team of healthcare professionals including nurses, caregivers and support staff.
  • Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
  • Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
  • Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
  • Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.
Requirements
  • AHPRA Registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
  • Grade 5, Registered Nurse.
  • Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
  • Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
  • Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An outstanding proficiency in care planning goal setting and evaluation documentation.
  • Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
